East Village location of Walnut Creek
Downtown
We recognize that COVID-19 has affected each individual and family uniquely. As we gather, it is our hope and intention to do so in a way that communicates Christ’s love, care, and compassion for the entire church body. If you have any questions or concerns throughout this process, please reach out to Pastor Luke Hukee at luke.hukee@walnutcreekchurch.org.
Located in the heart of Des Moines’ historic East Village, Walnut Creek Downtown is a thriving Christ-centered community with a place for you. Our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ who love and worship God drives everything we do.

COVID-19 FAQs
How do you encourage social distancing?
- Services are shortened to reduce the amount of time spent together.

Street parking is free during our Sunday services. Spots are often available on E. 4th between Walnut Street & Court Avenue.
On Saturday nights, meter parking is $1.25 per hour (up to 4 hours) near the church and $0.25 per hour (up to 12 hours) a block south of the church along Court Avenue. Meter parking is free on the Court Ave, Locust St., & Grand Ave. bridges.
Is there anything for my kids?
We want to provide your child a safe, fun, Christ-centered place to learn and grow during our weekend services. We ask that you take your child to Kids’ Class before the service. Our classrooms open 10 minutes before the service begins. Signage will guide you to our Equip Center where you’ll check-in your child. We offer classes for children 3 years old through 5th grade.
