Notes From the Field
News From Our Global Workers
About
Notes from the Field is Walnut Creek’s quarterly newsletter to members and regular attenders that seeks to give people a view behind the curtain of overseas workers, inform you of the prayer needs of all of our current members who have been sent out of the church, and provide information on upcoming events related to our cross-cultural ministry. We hope that you enjoy engaging in this material and encourage you to be in prayer for our workers overseas.
A Bit of Background
In 2017, Walnut Creek Church made the decision to move in the direction of sending and supporting long-term cross-cultural workers from within our church. The Lord has been very gracious to us as a church as He has raised up numerous singles and families to move overseas over the past several years. These saints will spend the next upcoming years to decades of their lives learning one or two foreign languages, adapting to other cultures, evangelizing the lost, making disciples, raising up church leaders, translating the Bible, and Lord willing, establishing healthy reproducing churches around the world.
As a church, we are grateful for the sacrifice of these men and women. We also recognize that it isn’t just the sacrifice of these people that will advance the cause of Christ globally. Behind each of these men and women are numerous families back home who have sacrificed, friends and colleagues who are giving generously, and church members who are devoted to prayer.
Why Global Church Planting?

''After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes with palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!''
— Revelation 7:9-10
