Reserved housing for Walnut Creek global workers
In 2017, Walnut Creek pastors communicated to the church a desire through the 10/40 ministry to mobilize, train, send and support long term workers overseas to plant churches in hard to reach places. By God’s grace there are 13 current Goers either currently overseas or finishing training this year prior to heading overseas. We hope to continue this endeavor long into the future, sending dozens of workers overseas to plant churches in hard to reach places.
One thing that has become evident as we have evaluated our support of Goers is the complicated housing situation many of them experience when they return to Des Moines on 3-6 month home assignment. To help alleviate this, Walnut Creek is pursuing the purchase of a duplex in the Des Moines area to provide reserved and free housing for Goers.
From the team:
``Having dedicated housing for Goers will be a substantial blessing. It will also be a tangible display of Walnut Creek's support for the sacrifices that these people are making in taking the gospel overseas.``
