| Brian Main, Pastor Despite growing up in church and being a pretty decent kid, it wasn’t until college that Pastor Brian understood God’s great gift of forgiveness through Jesus. Brian came to faith in Jesus at a Campus Crusade for Christ Bible study as a freshman at the University of Toledo. After completing his pharmacy degree, marrying his wife, Beth, and welcoming their first daughter into the world, Brian and Beth served for two years as Campus Crusade for Christ staff in Toronto, Canada. From there, they moved to Saint Louis, where Brian completed his Master of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary. Thinking that he might want to be a church planter (someone who starts new churches), Brian began an internship here at Walnut Creek in 2005. Although he quickly realized that church planting was not for him, he stuck around to see what God had for him to do next. When Walnut Creek’s founding pastor, Kory Tedrick, was called to start a new church in Missouri, Brian was chosen as his replacement. Brian’s greatest love in ministry is to study and teach God’s Word to His people. Outside of ministry, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, especially when they are hiking, canoeing, or playing baseball.
