Meeting Time and Location
We currently meet on Sunday mornings at 10am in the USA Cinema, near the Eastwood Mall in the Great East Plaza. Come a few minutes early to enjoy a bagel and some coffee or tea. WHEN WE MOVE TO OUR NEW LOCATION (504 Youngstown Kingsville Rd in Vienna, at Rt 82 & Rt 193), WE'LL BEGIN TO MEET AT 10:30am.
What to Expect
When you walk into the theater on a Sunday morning for church, you can expect to be greeted at the door by an ordinary, but friendly, person or two who will hand you an events folder, which will let you know what's going on at Walnut Creek and how to get more involved. You’ll have a chance to grab a bagel and some coffee or tea, to browse our information table, and to meet a few other people if you’d like. If you have children in fifth grade or younger, you can check them into their appropriate classes right next to the entrance to our worship center. Three year-olds through 5th graders will join the adults for singing, Scripture reading, and prayer before being dismissed to their classes. Both Junior High and Senior High aged youth stay with the adults for the entire service.
At Walnut Creek, we try to be casual or relaxed with regard to people (so don’t worry that you might be underdressed), but serious with regard to God and His Word. In other words, we want you to feel as welcome as possible, but we don’t want to forget that hearing and obeying what God has to say is serious (but joyful) business.
Our services typically begin with a welcome from the pastor and a few announcements. Then our band leads us in a few songs to worship God, followed by a prayer and a Scripture reading. Then the pastor will preach a message from the Bible. This message will be followed by the offering and a final song. If you join us on a Sunday morning and have not yet made Walnut Creek your church home, we ask that rather than making a financial contribution to the offering, you simply complete the yellow form in the events folder to give us a record of your visit and let us know how we might be able to serve you or pray for you.
We hope to see you some Sunday morning soon!
